"Everyone paints 'Phoenix.' Paint me Icarus!" He said, referring to my painting, "RISE." So I painted "FALL" here. How I imagine how Icarus's final moments of surrender, his "Ego Death" must have felt like. That moment of release from the prison or egoism. That moment would be humble and blissful. His greatest triumph in the fight against himself. His loss of "self" and becoming one with the universe.
